Classroom Technical Services — System Design

Classroom Technical Services (CTS) Design Engineers will help clients design presentation systems from conception to conclusion, developing required documents and providing consultation and analysis. They help clients develop media system designs and assist planners with requirements, specifications, and cost estimates. Building conduit and infrastructure requirements are created for construction documents.

CTS Design Engineers developed the UofM Projection Capable Classroom Standard for the Office of Classroom Management as a model system based on ergonomic and practical design principles, including issues of usability, affordability, reliability, flexibility, and modular design. Its widespread acceptance by faculty typifies the high level of performance and value delivered by CTS products and staff.

Additionally, engineers design specialized systems for classrooms, conference rooms, videoconferencing and interactive television facilities, specialized technology teaching rooms, computer simulation environments, integrated video production/teaching environments, and hearing assist, as well as dynamic digital signage systems.

Skilled CTS Engineers participate on a national level on presentation technology issues, attending seminars, making presentations, and maintaining cutting-edge knowledge of hardware, software, and the marketplace.

CTS meets regularly with manufacturers for new equipment demonstration and testing.
