Mission
To directly support high quality teaching and learning by faculty and
students in University classrooms. The Office of Classroom
Management is the central point of contact, and single point of
responsibility and accountability for all general purpose classroom
issues.
Units
Classroom Support
Provides faculty and students with a complete range of services
and support for teaching and learning in general purpose classrooms.
Classroom Scheduling
Develops all class schedules for use of approximately 300 general
purpose classrooms having 23,000 seats in more than 60 buildings
on the U of M East Bank, West Bank and St. Paul campuses.
Classroom Facilities
Responsible for the physical teaching & learning environment in general purpose classrooms. This includes classroom facilities operations and readiness, including maintenance and upkeep of central classrooms and all furnishings.
Classroom Technical Services
Primary technical support organization for classroom audio, video,
projection and presentation systems, including system design,
planning, installation, maintenance, operation and repair. Additionally
CTS can provide on-site technicians and high quality audio-video
equipment for large conferences, small meetings, sporting events,
receptions, concerts, lectures or performances, or provide equipment
deliveries, setup or demonstrations. AV

Responsible for central classroom planning, oversight, project representation, specification reports, documentation and for classroom inventory requirements.
